Environmental Medicine & Comprehensive Care

A more complete understanding of your health. A plan that fits your life.

You are more than a symptom, a diagnosis, or a laboratory result.

Your health story includes how you feel, what has changed over time, your medical history, and the conditions of your daily life. A thoughtful evaluation considers these together rather than looking at each concern in isolation.

My approach combines individualized medical care with attention to nutrition, hormones, lifestyle, and environmental exposures. We look for relevant connections and focus on the next steps that can make a meaningful difference in your care.

Environmental Medicine: Your environment belongs in the conversation

What we encounter at home, at work, and in daily life can matter to our health. Drinking water, air, household products, and occupational exposures are all part of an environmental-health history. Some environmental chemicals can interfere with hormone signaling; others have different effects on the body. 2

Environmental medicine brings these questions into the medical evaluation. We consider possible sources of exposure, their timing, and whether further investigation would be useful. That history is assessed alongside other possible explanations for your symptoms—not treated as an automatic diagnosis.

The goal is to identify relevant concerns and find realistic ways to address them, without making you feel that you have to change everything at once.

Comprehensive Medical Evaluation

Standard and specialty laboratory evaluation

Comprehensive standard laboratory work and selected specialty testing can be evaluated together to build a more complete picture of your health. I review the findings in the context of your symptoms, history, medications, and goals, rather than treating each number as a separate answer.

I offer standard laboratory testing through Labcorp, alongside specialty testing available through my practice. This allows us to bring familiar medical testing and more focused investigations into the same conversation.

Depending on your needs, evaluation may include, but is not limited to:

  • Blood counts and metabolic testing: blood-cell measures, electrolytes, and markers of kidney and liver function.
  • Thyroid health: thyroid-function testing and additional thyroid studies when relevant to your symptoms and history.
  • Metabolic health: glucose, hemoglobin A1c, and selected additional measures to evaluate concerns about blood-sugar regulation and metabolic health.
  • Cardiovascular health: cholesterol and triglycerides, blood-pressure history, and an individualized review of cardiovascular risk factors. Additional testing is considered when it can help guide care.
  • Hormone health and metabolism: relevant hormone measurements and selected testing of hormone metabolites, interpreted alongside your symptoms, life stage, medications, and treatment history.
  • Environmental exposures and toxin evaluation: a detailed exposure history and targeted testing for relevant chemicals, metals, or exposure markers when the results can inform next steps.
  • Gut health: evaluation of digestive symptoms, with appropriate testing for concerns such as celiac disease, intestinal inflammation, or specific infections. Selected specialty digestive studies may be considered when useful.
  • Viral and bacterial exposures: testing for specific infections when symptoms, risk factors, or exposure history warrant it. Results are interpreted to distinguish evidence of past exposure from signs of a current infection.
  • Nutritional status: iron studies, vitamin B12, vitamin D, or other nutrient testing when there is a clinical reason to assess them.
  • Inflammatory markers: selected measures when they can help answer a specific clinical question.
  • Other primary-care needs: review of medications and supplements, relevant kidney and liver concerns, and age- and risk-appropriate preventive care. In-person examination, procedures, or specialist evaluation are coordinated when needed.

Examples of specialty options available through the practice include Hormone Zoomer, Gut Zoomer, Nutrient Zoomer, Total Tox Burden, Organic Acids, Autoimmune Zoomer, Mycotoxins, Viral Infections, and Tickborne panels. These are options for selected clinical questions, not a standard package that every patient needs. 4

Testing is individualized. Existing results can be reviewed first, and additional testing is selected for the questions it can help answer. Before ordering specialty testing, we discuss what it measures, its limitations, and how the findings could inform your care. Exposure tests measure particular chemicals or markers; they do not provide a complete inventory of every chemical in your body.

A personalized plan, not a one-size-fits-all protocol

Evaluation should lead to useful decisions. Depending on the findings, your plan may include practical exposure-reduction steps, nutrition and lifestyle changes, appropriate medication or supplementation, and coordination with other clinicians when needed.

We prioritize what is most relevant to you and consider what is realistic for your routine. Follow-up is an opportunity to review how you are feeling, reassess the plan, and decide whether further evaluation is useful.

Start with a conversation

If you would like a more comprehensive evaluation of your health or have questions about possible environmental exposures, a discovery call is a place to learn about my approach and whether the practice is a fit for your needs.

Book a complimentary discovery call

A discovery call is a 15-minute introduction to the practice. It is not a medical appointment and does not include laboratory interpretation or medical advice. Laboratory and specialty testing costs are separate from visit fees.
